Portuguese percussionist and composer Pedro Almiro focuses on the synergies generated by the interaction of acoustic and electronic devices. He explores the worlds prompted by playfulness, immediacy and resonance, where the perception of what is (present) and what was overlap.
Based on his musical education around the Drum-set, he draws on the minimalist aesthetics of the 1960s, Brion Gysin’s legendary cut-ups, ancestral rhythmic traditions and keeps challenging his artistic and curatorial practices in Berlin.
